Never too late.......

Oopss... a little late for posting #100 sketch for Creative Scrappers..... but here it is....~~

A photo of my girls favorite bedtime mate!! Tou-Tou.......

I've just started a new album "Our daily lives" (title subjected to change) to document... our everyday lives... not only those special occasions. It may seems insignificant for now.... but I always have visions of sitting together with my girls and flipping through the albums ...... telling them stories of when they were younger.

Sigh.... hopefully at least one of them will be interested in my passion.... even though it may burn a big hole in my pocket.

Using one of my favorite border punch by Martha Stewart (love them!!) to create the borders. Misted the white cardstock a little..... add a little more interest.

Created the banner from scratch... painstakingly.. but it's worth it..... so cute and tie the end with Baker's Twine!

Thanks for looking!! Remember to check out here for more details on April's sketch challenges!!

April Written Challenge for Butterfly Crafts

April Written Challenge at Butterfly Crafts....... create a layout based on what the season means to us. First thing that come to my mind, Japan..... gorgeous country with wonderful people. Pics are taken during my visit to Japan last year.

Kirei means beautiful in Japanese. How I wish I can go again this year... can never get tired of Japan. So many things to explore and see.

I used kraft cardstock and splattered some acrylic paint to make it more interesting. Using up some of my old Hambly.

The little dots are dimensional pearl.

Lastly, using my i-top to make the canvas brad (it's from Prima canvas tag... I think)!! I cut it a little too small... but it's not that obvious though.

Btw, the loopy punch is one of my latest addition of border punches. It's cute!
Remember to join in the fun. Go here for more details~~

My Own Calender

Remember I did a calender stand for a friend of mine a few months back? I decided to make 1 for myself since the Maya Road calender pack comes in 3 set. Why waste right?

I went overboard while adding embellishments for each month..... it simply wouldn't stand on it own until I flipped to the month of April.

Used some old OA patterned papers as the background. Tedious at first.. but once the chipboard pages are sand down.... it's just a matter of stamp and paste.... cut and paste.. Heh...

See.... Meimei can't keep her hand off the pages.... keep trying to pull them off....

Thanks for looking!!
Will post some sneaks of my next projects soon!!

Friendship

Here's my take for Creative Scrappers sketch #98. A pic of my ex-colleagues and me ( some of us thou') taken quite in late 2008.

I missed working in my old ward... but we have to move on right? Always think in a positive way... that's one of my motto..

Keeping it simply and clean using kraft cardstock as my background paper. Misted it a little with Maya Mist. Using one of my new border punch..... loopy one... heh..

Crocheted the little white flower myself.... should have misted it a little....

And.... hand-stitched the star online to give it more texture.
Thanks for looking!!

Can't resist.....

I can't resist using the pics of my girls in the blue cheongsam. May not really fit the patterned papers which I had choosen.. but... don't really care much now...

Aren't they adorable?!! Hehe.... I am so proud to be their mother.... even though they drive me nuts at times.. :)

I used a paper doily again in this layout. Misted it will Maya Mist this time round as it gives a brighter colour with minimum use. The patterned paper was from K & Company... love the bold and vibrant colour. I simply cut out some design from the paper... and the rest just fall into places.

Using lace as a mat.... and pearl trim to add some texture.

One of my newest addition to my Sizzix die collection.... Tim Holtz birdcage!!! Love it! Love it!! I applied some crackle paint and stickles paint..... and..... there it goes~! Lee Teng Teng.... *envy me now* LOL. I can lend you if you want =P.

Lastly.... flowers which I bought from some fellow scrappers. They were sold out so fast... but I did manage to grab some....

Thanks for looking!!
